Class of '59 One of my best friends, Gene Lynd of Hudson, Fl. has been called home by the Lord. Gene pasted on Sept 24, 2018, in Madison, Al. where his son, Howard lives. Grave side services will be held this Sat. Oct. 6, 2018 in Bellefont. Miller Funeral Home of Ashland, Ky. is handling the service. More information is available from Miller Funeral Home.

A lot of changes all at once for me, but all good. I have retired and looking forward to my next challenges. Sold my home after 26 years and have a wonderful apartment....and freedom! I will be visiting Ashland 9/5-9/10. Not going to be there for the dinner but perhaps another time. I have to get back to babysit my grandcat. It will be great to be there even for a few days. Perhaps I will be able to make a luncheon at some point. I still work full time happily and my clients and patients make it difficult to get away often. But, I love it so what can I say. What a great time we had! The food was great and old times were recollected and laughter topped it off.

The Boyd Co Library Genealogy Dept would like to make copies of students with teachers group pictures for their collection. I have a copy of Hatcher 5th grade with room at the bottom for listing student names. I remembered a few but need your help to identify others. Charlene, the pictures were great....everyone looked so good...it was a real treat to see them and think of old times. I would especially like to thank you guys for the brick that you had placed on CP-1...that was such a thoughtful thing to do...Dick,Herb and I spent every spring and summer on CP-1 or Cp-2 from 1952 thru 1959...grade school,YMCA leagues and then, of course the Tomcats...those seven years were very special and will never be forgotten. I just found out today that Roger Bates died three weeks ago. He was buried in Florida. I\'ll miss him a lot. I spent some "quality" time with Roger the summer of our first year out of AHS. Seems we are losing our most interesting people. Ashland produced so many of those characters.
